• Wonderbox is an action adventure game with a heavy user-generated content focus where players could create adventures to be played by the community. It was developed by Aquiris in partnership with Apple.
• The gameplay is similar to action adventure games like the Legend of Zelda, where players can use certain items and weapons to navigate the environment and defeat enemies.
• Besides that it had a robust and intuitive creation mode inspired by games like Super Mario Maker, where players could create new adventures using the same blocks, characters and items available in the main campaign and it’s expansion sets.
• I joined the team for a brief time in early 2023 to help with adding new systems and content for the game expansion sets.
• During my time working in this project I was focused on new gameplay items and systems for the Pirate-theme expansion set, including creating pirate-themed weapons and a new fishing minigame system for the fishing rod item, allowing it to be used in new ways in the game.
